Rock sits on the north-east bank of the Camel Estuary, opposite Padstow: a Cornish village of sand, dunes and working water, with a short pedestrian ferry across the river. The long estuary beach runs toward Daymer Bay. Sailing and waterski share the same water as the Black Tor ferry.
